About me
The most common feedback I get from clients is how much they "value having the time and space to just talk, without being judged". It's easy to underestimate how powerful the simple things can be.
My focus is on creating a safe, collaborative space where you can feel seen, understood and supported, as we work through whatever it is that concerns you.
Whether it's relationship and family issues, grief and loss, work stresses, frustration at repeated patterns of thought or behaviour, confusion surrounding your sense of self, or a lurking sense of ‘something isn’t quite right but I just can’t put my finger on it’, we'll get there... and we'll probably cry and laugh along the way!
As an integrative therapist, I bring warmth, insight, and a grounded presence to our work together. With years of experience and a passion for personal growth, I use a therapeutic approach rooted in person-centred counselling and psychodynamic principles to explore, with compassion, how past experiences shape the present.
I’m dedicated to helping you feel better. Sometimes that's about you simply feeling heard. Other times, it's about uncovering patterns, building resilience, and fostering meaningful change. Whatever it is, together, we’ll create a path toward greater clarity, balance, and connection in your life.

Training, qualifications & experience
As a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, the two main approaches that inform my practice are person-centred counselling and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
I’m also interested in the emerging research and subsequent understanding of neuroscience and brain development. This is ultimately where long-standing and well-practised ‘theory’ is increasingly being supported by hard science. For example, and putting it very simply, the impact of early childhood on brain development and the subsequent influence this has on our world view, our understanding of self, and our ways of relating with others. It also supports the vital importance and healing power of empathy in relationships, and the value of processing past experiences, safely, and at the client's pace.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
