About me

I am a qualified and BACP registered Person-Centered Counsellor providing sessions online and in-person in North London.

In our sessions we will work collaboratively to build our therapeutic relationship, finding ways to better understand any problems you might be facing, to unpack any conflict and distress in your life, or to get to know yourself better.

I offer a confidential and supportive space where you can explore what's really going on for you, better recognise and understand your patterns and behaviours, all in a trusting and respectful environment where you can really be yourself and become more emotionally confident and capable.

My practice is queer friendly, kink aware, and inclusive.

Training, qualifications & experience

In my professional experience I’ve worked in domestic abuse, pastoral care in schools, LGBTQ+ charities, addiction and recovery, and I’ve worked as a teacher for over 10 years. In each of these environments I’ve learnt something different from every one of my clients and students, and how diverse and resilient humans can be, both in themselves and how they handle their challenges.

I have experience working with a range of issues, including:

• Relationships, including non-traditional relationship structures

• LGBTQIA+

• Sexuality

• Identity and self expression

• Low self-esteem

• Suicidal thoughts

• Trauma

• Grief

• Anxiety

• Depression

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

Whether you’ve never had therapy before or you’re returning to therapy, I offer free 20 minute phone consultations where we can discuss what you'd like to bring to our sessions, talk through what therapy might look like for you, and you can ask any questions you might have. Finally you can decide if you'd like to book your first session.

In our first session I'll ask you for some general administrative information (name, DOB, and so on), we'll go through our contract, and then we'll begin our work together.
