About me

Welcome! I'm Donna, a therapist specialising in Attachment and bereavement, I work face to face in my lovely calm therapy room in my garden in Kent. I also work remotely across the UK

If you struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, or depression? Talking can help. Life has many challenges to face, which are hard, and we need to talk about them. There are times in our life l when it is hard to make sense of our feelings.  Bereavement is painful. Grief & Loss  can come from any loss we might experience. Losing a close relationship, friendship, or a beloved pet can all be difficult.

I am experienced in these areas having worked for a local Kent Hospice . My role as an NHS nurse have given me extensive insight into how our closely linked our physical & mental health impact our wellbeing. Stress & anxiety can be hard to navigate in our day to day lives.

I have experience with working with neurodiversity & I understand how challenging it is to understand the world around you. can be. I will help you work through the challenges you experience helping you to find a way to cope and thrive.

Experiencing difficult times within relationships or struggling with worries about family or a partner. I can help you understand your feelings and what is happening, finding a way forward. Working with couples, enabling them to communicate better with one another during difficult times.

Exploring difficult feelings in a non-judgmental and empathic space. It is confidential which allows you to talk freely. By supporting you to a better understanding and compassion for yourself.

I have experience working with young people within a pupil referral unit. This has allowed me to develop skills to help them understand themselves and the world around them.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
