About me

Hello and welcome. My name is Dionysia, and I am an experienced Psychodynamic Therapist and an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) offering in person and online sessions to adult individual clients.

I have experience working with a wide range of emotional concerns, including complex trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, identity, and difficult life transitions. My aim is to offer a steady, reflective presence one that allows for honesty, curiosity, and the gradual unfolding of what feels most true.

We all carry parts of our story that shape how we experience ourselves and others. Sometimes these patterns can leave us feeling stuck, anxious, or uncertain about who we are and what we need. Psychodynamic counselling offers a space to explore these deeper layers to make sense of the past, understand its influence on the present, and open up new possibilities for growth and meaningful connections.

If you’re on my page, chances are something doesn’t feel right in your life. It may be a known trauma or something you just can’t seem to get to. Choosing to seek support is a courageous step in itself. Whether you have a question or feel ready to schedule an initial consultation, I offer a reassuring and confidential space to begin our conversation together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an Accredited member of The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy MBACP (Accred). I hold a BACP Accredited Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling. I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and Professional Conduct Procedures.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information

I’d be happy to have an introductory conversation to explore your counselling needs and answer any questions you may have. There is no charge for this, and I encourage it as an opportunity for us both to get a sense of what it feels like to talk together and whether I’m the right person to support you.

If you’d like to arrange this, you can book a convenient time for a call via this website.

If you feel ready to arrange an initial consultation, please make contact to discuss your availability with me. You can contact me via email, WhatsApp, or leave a telephone message. I aim to get back to you within 24 - 48 hours.

The initial consultation is an hour in length. It aims to find out more about you, your set of life circumstances and what brings you to counselling at this time.

You are under no obligation to proceed beyond this. If we agree to work together, then ongoing sessions are offered on a weekly basis for either an agreed block of 6 or 12 sessions or open-ended (no time limit)

Initial Consultation - £60 (1 hour)

Individual Sessions - £60 (50 minutes)

How can I help?

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming for us all, and it isn’t always easy to make sense of what we’re feeling or why we keep finding ourselves in certain situations. Therapy offers a space to slow down, think, and be truly heard.

My role is not to tell you what to do or offer quick solutions. Instead, I provide a safe, containing relationship in which we can explore your lived experiences together, make sense of difficult and/or conflicting feelings, and uncover patterns that may be influencing your life in ways you may not be fully aware of.

Through this process, therapy can help you develop a greater self-understanding, resilience, and the emotional capacity to make choices that feel more aligned with who you are.
