About me
Have you been feeling low recently or believe you are suffering with issues surrounding your well-being such as anxiety or depression?
I am passionate about helping people which has led me to become a fully qualified counsellor offering 1:1 counselling from my ground floor practice in Hornchurch. It is a short walk from both Elm Park and Hornchurch district line stations and if travelling by car, has ample parking.
I have many years experience working with clients from all backgrounds and presenting problems however my main focus has been on helping people with mental health issues that include depression, anxiety, trauma, stress and relationship problems to name a few.
Whilst you may realise you need to speak to someone about the things that are troubling you, it can also be very hard to make the first step in seeking help. I offer a confidential space where you will experience a non-judgemental, welcoming atmosphere to talk about the things that are on your mind.
I therefore, offer a free consultation which will give you an opportunity to ask any questions that you might have about counselling and your goals for seeking help. This will also give you a 'no obligation' opportunity to experience the counselling environment and alleviate any concerns you may have; helping to put you at ease before you make any decisions.
I offer appointments during the daytime and some evenings so that counselling doesn't have to impact on the rest of your daily activities.
Often, we have been carrying negative thoughts about ourselves such as feeling inadequate (I'm not good enough) and feeling unable to cope (I can't do it) for so long that they've almost become part of who we are. It doesn't have to be that way forever and together we can work through these feelings so that you can release them and start enjoying the life you deserve.
I am a fully qualified counsellor working within the Integrative model which means that I tailor the session to suit your needs which includes:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Psychodynamics
- Person-Centred
- Transactional Analysis
- Gestalt Therapy
- Hypnotherapy
Counselling is a unique relationship which is designed to support you to explore your feelings in a safe space whilst being heard (something that some people never experience). Distressing situations and feelings can have such a destructive impact on our lives and therapy works by learning to accept and acknowledge your feelings, helping you to gain a different perspective, whilst challenging old beliefs. You are then able to move forward with a happier and healthier outlook on life.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
