About me

Hello. Thank you for joining me here.

I understand it is not easy to make this first step in finding the right therapist to work with. Especially when we are possibly feeling overwhelmed and unsure.

You may be feeling anxious or confused. You may be experiencing some painful thoughts or difficult life events and would like to explore a way through these. You may want to understand yourself better.

A healthy therapeutic relationship allows you to feel safe to explore difficult feelings and emotions. I provide this by bringing compassion, understanding and empathy to you without judgement and with many years of experience.

I have personal and professional experience working with anxiety and depression. ADHD and Autism. Sexual abuse, historical sexual abuse. Trauma, chronic illness, relationship and family difficulties. Couples therapy, grief, loss, low self esteem, a sense of sadness and low mood.

I also have experience working with men, women and all sexual orientations and gender identities.

Please do get in touch if you are a counselling trainee as I also have experience working with trainees and offer a lower fee.

I also offer a lower fee for NHS workers.

I am able to offer face-to-face and online sessions.

I look forward to hearing from you if you would like to book a free initial 20 minute zoom or telephone session for us to meet and for you to ask any questions you may have.

"Knowing oneself comes from attending with compassionate curiosity to what is happening within" Gabor Mate

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
