About me
Hi, I'm Debbie, a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, based in Glasgow, delivering in person and online (Doxy / Zoom) CBT sessions.
With over 20 years of career experience, my background includes CBT therapy and offering support to individuals and families dealing with a variety of challenges and issues.
CBT is a talking therapy, and a powerful support intervention to help manage problems by exploring and addressing the interconnection between thoughts, behaviours, and emotions.
By breaking down overwhelming issues into manageable parts, CBT guides individuals in transforming negative thought patterns, into more positive ones, to help improve how you think and feel.
I specialise in supporting individuals with Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Trauma & Autism. I provide sessions that are empathetic, compassionate, non-judgmental, and customized to each person.
I will work with you to understand, and break down your problems into separate parts, including your thoughts, physical feelings, actions, and work with you to positively address them.
Finding the right therapist is crucial to your mental well-being. I understand the importance of building trust and connection between the individual and the therapist, to ensure effective therapy. That's why I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to get a deeper understanding of your needs, introduce my CBT approach, and see if we're a good match.
My schedule availability includes tea time & evening slots from Monday to Friday and select daytime slots on Fridays.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
