Hi my name is Debbie.....I'm an adult, child and young people's counsellor with practices in Stourport and Solihull, my rooms are easily accessible from Worcester, Droitwich, Malvern, Pershore, Evesham, Kidderminster, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Solihull and surrounding areas. As part of my practice I also work in a Primary and Secondary school.
Whether you are experiencing feelings of depression, anxiety, career or relationship issues, bereavement, bullying, school problems or just feeling overwhelmed and that you cant cope or any other reason, I can help. I can help you or your child. I can help you to
- Feel less anxious in social situations
- Sleep better
- Stop self-harming
- not be haunted by guilt
- drop coping mechanisms that no longer help you
- take control back of your own life
- feel happier and able to manage life again
- feel more confident
- and much more...
Whatever is stopping you from being who or where you want to be...I can help.
I am a down-to-earth, friendly person. I will work with you to manage your worries, issues and concerns at your pace. Counselling is a time for you, where you can feel free to be open in a non-judgemental and safe environment. Counselling can empower you to make those changes which may be holding you back, it can help you see a different perspective and using reflection change your reality. I am committed to supporting you through this process of change and as an integrative counselling will work in a way which is best for you and the process.
I understand how frightening it can be when you feel stuck and like there are no options. You don't have to go through it alone. Change is possible. I can help. Together we can find what works best for you.
I will offer you a calm and safe space to talk through your thoughts, feelings and experiences. I will listen to you with empathy and without judgement. You are the expert on yourself and know yourself best. My role is to work with you and give you the space to find your own solutions and ways forward. Whatever your issue, my aim is to build a trusting and empathic relationship with you, one where you will not be judged or told what to do, so that we can discuss and explore your problems safely and in confidence.
Being in counselling can feel like a relief and at other times it can feel difficult; sometimes even both at the same time. Either way, I believe that counselling can help and that together we can find ways forward that work for you.

Starting counselling can feel like big step and sometimes it can help to know what to expect from the first session. The first time we meet can be used to get to know each other a little better and to find out if we are both comfortable working together. We can use this time to decide if I am the right counsellor for you. We will go over a counselling agreement which outlines what we can expect from each other and the practical details of counselling including confidentiality and cancellations.
