About me

My practice is located in Camden Town, London, NW1 within 5 minutes of walk from Camden Road Overground Station, Camden Town, Euston, Kings Cross and Mornington Crescent tube stations.

You are welcome to contact me by telephone or email to discuss your situation. All communications between us are confidential and I reply to all messages promptly.

I understand every client to be unique in their personality and needs, and that while one therapeutic approach may be very helpful for a particular person, for another it might not be. I aim to provide plenty of space for you to tell your story, placing a greater or lesser emphasis on your childhood, using more or less structured thinking and diagrams, or perhaps trying gentle but effective behavioural techniques.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered HCPC and BPS member Psychologist with 10 years of experience in undertaking in-depth work with clients across a broad range of life distressing situations.

My field of expertise covers Counselling and Clinical Psychology, trained in CBT and Existential Psychology with a person oriented approach designed to tailor a way of working to meet your unique needs and personality style to help you achieve genuine sustainable progress.

I have helped people with a wide range of difficulties such as stress, feelings of depression, low self-esteem, anxiety (including, phobias and panic attacks) and difficult relationship and workplace problems. Furthermore, I have worked therapeutically with clients experiencing severe and enduring complex, diagnosed mental health conditions. Also, I have experience of working with young people and their families; thus I am able to provide behavioural and attachment based support to families and work creatively with young adults.

Sessions can be carried in both English and Spanish, according to the preferences of the client.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Fees

£90.00 - £180.00

Additional information

My fees start at £90 per individual session and £160 per couples session from Monday to Friday; £100 per individual session and £180 per couples session on weekends. Following a sensible pattern, certain concessions and discounts on the charging fee could be applied depending on each client's personal situation.

Taking the step to seek psychological support can be a daunting prospect. Understanding this, I work with clients in a collaborative manner, enabling a safe and helpful environment, so the client feels comfortable enough to share some of their life struggles.

The first session is the assessment and might be slightly longer than a normal session. This is to give enough time to explore what you have come to therapy for, what you have tried in the past, what helped and what did not help. At the end of this session, I will try and make some recommendations around what may be most helpful for you.

After the assessment session, the sessions will be approximately 50 minutes. Each person is different so it is difficult to predict how many sessions will be needed but my aim is only to work with a person for as long as it is helpful and to empowering in order to leave therapy with the skills needed.

Further information

I work in a warm, supportive, open and collaborative way to make sure your voice is heard and respected and that you come to understand yourself; your needs, conflicts, anxieties, defences, and relational patterns on a much deeper level, enabling you to explore alternative ways of being and relating, to help bring you greater satisfaction and stability.

I believe that it is important that you understand the therapeutic process and measure your progress, therefore, I regularly offer and invite feedback. While I do offer short-term help, I find working longer term with periodic reviews can be more effective in creating lasting change.

If in our initial assessment session we agree that your needs would benefit from a particular alternative approach that is not on my repertoire, I will gladly offer you the option of a referral to an established and trusted colleague.
