About me

If you are suffering from anxiety or feeling overwhelmed. Therapy can help you to change pace, reduce worry and resolve the stress in your life allowing you to take back control.

Are you feeling overwhelmed with work? Do you feel that you can't keep up with all your responsibilities? Is anxiety having a negative impact on your day to day life, is the anxiety so bad that you are getting unwanted thoughts and perhaps even health anxiety?

Counselling doesn't have to be time consuming. It is only one hour a week and if you have a busy schedule you can even book an online session to fit your lifestyle and you won't even have to travel.

Therapy can help reduce stress and anxiety by:

  • Exploring your worries by talking them through in a place without judgement or fear - so that you can develop ways to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Recognising the issues; what the stressors are and their underlying causes - so that you can develop better coping strategies.
  • Helping you set your own boundaries and manage people's expectations - giving you more self esteem and freeing up time for you.

I started my private practice because I saw too many people struggling with anxiety and stress and felt that many of them didn't know how to cope with it. Some people hoped that they would grow out of it by adulthood. For many it remained despite having a successful career or family lifestyle. Others found that the overwhelm was so bad that they are performing below their capacity.

It is possible to take back control and to have a fulfilling life with a clear head and peace of mind.

With over seventeen years in teaching I know too well the results of burnout. I understand what that exhaustion feels like and how the lack of good support contributes to anxiety and feeling hopeless. How this affects self esteem can be massive. Leading us to believe that we are just not good enough.

Since then I have retrained as a therapist and I have supported clients to make changes in their lives and their work. This has given them more freedom in themselves and in their lives. I would love to help you too.

I am a fully qualified counsellor and registered with NCPS.

Further information

Previous clients have said that therapy helped them to find ways to deal with overwhelm and they have felt more calmness in their life. They were able to prioritise their  problems and deal with them one at a time, helping them to maintain focus. Their lives are happier and more peaceful and they are able to organise themselves more peacefully. They have seen their self esteem and their confidence grow.

So please get in touch and book an introductory call. Then we can both assess whether we would work well together. I'm looking forward to meeting you.
