About me

I am happy to do home visits or online sessions depending on your needs.

Feeling stuck? Overwhelmed? Like something’s just not right but you can’t put your finger on it? You’re not alone - and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.

I know that life can feel heavy at times - whether it’s work stress, relationship issues, feeling lost, or just the weight of expectations.

I offer a calm, grounded space where we can work together to understand what’s going on and find a way forward. No jargon, no pressure - just someone who listens and helps you make sense of things.

I offer therapy that’s warm, non-judgemental and real - a space where you can be yourself, talk things through at your own pace, and begin to feel more like you again.

I offer a free 20 min telephone consultation for us to engage and see if we can work together, giving you chance to ask any questions regarding the sessions.

I believe that counselling should be accessible to all so therefore I offer a reduced rate to people who are on lower incomes or who are out of work.

I generally work between 12noon and 8pm Mondays and Fridays. I can consider dates and times outside this depending on your needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified BACP registered counsellor and registered nurse. I have over 30 years experience and am trained in person-centred counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy and trauma-informed therapy.

I am an experienced and compassionate counsellor and I will give you a safe non-judgmental space to explore your issues and difficulties. I provide a gentle empathetic space which will help you work through the challenges you are facing and to make a positive change to your life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
