About me
I'm a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor with a BSc in Psychology. My approach is rooted in Curiosity and Self-Compassion, helping you understand 'Why' certain feelings and behaviours are showing up in your unique circumstance. Through understanding ‘How’ and ‘Why’ these challenges are showing up for you, I aim to help you feel more confident in making choices that align with your values.
Working Integratively means I draw on a range of techniques and approaches, this can involve exploring patterns of how and when challenges show up for you, perhaps thinking back to when they first started. Or, working more pragmatically with cognitive tools so you can manage challenges in the moment. We might also explore your values and preferences so you can feel more aligned with where you are heading.
Ultimately though, I aim to provide a non-judgemental space that feels safe for you to explore what’s going on. I’m not here to tell you what you ‘should’ think or do about any given situation. I’ll encourage you to reconnect with yourself, extend yourself some grace, and work with your feelings compassionately so you can make informed choices about what to do next.
Our nervous systems are constantly talking to us, giving us signals about perceived safety and danger. Just as we might find ourselves feeling relaxed after a holiday, we can equally find ourselves feeling overwhelmed and anxious when we can’t see a clear way through our situation. Making sense of what we are experiencing can be the first step to finding a way through challenging times and I’m here to help you do that.
My approach is informed by a decade long interest in Psychology, first completing my BSc in Psychology where I worked as a Research Assistant and Befriender for people with learning difficulties. Then qualifying as an Integrative Counsellor working with a local Counselling agency and sight loss charity. I have also worked in Analytics within the National Health Service.
I’m happy to work together in a way that suits you, whether that is online, face to face or a mix of both. I also offer a walk and talk service within the Bournemouth area. I have experience counselling individuals through a range of psychological challenges including anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, addiction, grief and burnout. I have also counselled individuals effected by sight-loss, helping them navigate the challenges an often unexpected physical diagnosis can bring.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I currently offer In Person sessions in Southbourne, Bournemouth BH6, and a walk and talk service in the surrounding area. Remote/Online sessions are carried out via secure video call, accessible from your browser.
So that you can decide if i am the right Counsellor for you, I offer a free 30 minute introductory Session, which can be done via video call or over the phone. We can organise this after you reach out to me.
After this, Sessions last for 50 minutes and are £50 per session.
Occasionally, I have availability at a concessionary rate of £40, Please email to enquire.
