About me
I'm so pleased you are taking these first steps to seek out help and support. Whatever has brought you here, I believe reaching out can be one of the biggest hurdles. Finding someone you trust is fundamental to the counselling process, which is why we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, developing a relationship that allows for a safe exploration of deeper issues. My hope is to help you cultivate self-compassion, and this begins with a greater understanding of your inner world. I am dedicated to collaborating with you to discover solutions that are tailored specifically to your needs.
My personal journey to counselling began whilst I worked with young people in a pastoral role and realised I wanted to be better equipped to help others. My love of what I do continues to grow as I see the impact of talking therapy both in the lives of others and in my own life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an integrative Person-Centred and Psychodynamic counsellor. My qualification is a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
Additionally, I have experience collaborating with various charities, addressing issues like trauma, anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss. I have supported individuals in a local drug and alcohol service in their recovery from addiction. I can adapt to work within a short timeframe with experiences of working limited to six sessions or offer long term work depending on your needs.
I am continually seeking out additional learning and can often be found with my head in a book which will help expand on the work which I do with clients.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
