About me

How I can Help / My Approach

Are you finding it difficult to cope with everyday challenges or your mental health?
You might be experiencing one or more of the following: anxiety, low self-esteem or confidence, couples or relationship difficulties, family issues or parenting challenges, loss and bereavement, stress, chronic pain, low mood, or feelings of sadness, loneliness, anger or overwhelm. You may also be navigating perfectionism or simply seeking personal growth and a deeper connection with yourself.

Whatever you're facing, I’m here to support you. If you’re reading this, it means you’re ready for change and you don’t have to do it alone.

As a fully qualified Person-Centred Counsellor, my approach is all about creating a space where you feel truly heard, accepted, and supported. Together, we’ll work to help you gain clarity, overcome obstacles and move toward the changes you’re hoping for.

With training in a variety of therapeutic methods, I offer a flexible, holistic approach, blending Person-Centred Therapy, CBT techniques, positive psychology and creative tools. This ensures the therapy we do together is as unique as you are, tailored to your needs, goals and personal journey.

You are at the heart of everything we do. If you're ready to begin your journey of self-discovery, healing and growth, I’d be honoured to support you along the way.

Our Work Together: What to Expect

Starting therapy can feel a little daunting, but our sessions are all about creating a safe, confidential space where you can share what’s on your mind at your own pace. I’m here to listen without judgment, helping you feel comfortable and supported.

The first session will be a bit different—it’s focused on getting to know each other, exploring what brings you to therapy, and going over important details like confidentiality. There’s no rush; my goal is to help you feel at ease.

We’ll discuss what’s been going on for you, your goals, and any areas where you’d like to see change. I’ll also explain how I work as a counsellor, and together, we’ll tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions, so you feel confident and clear moving forward.

Whether you’re seeking short-term support or long-term therapy, the first session is about building a trusting, supportive foundation, and future sessions will dive deeper into your personal journey. You’re in control of the pace, and I’ll be here to support you every step of the way.

Supporting You Through

I support individuals facing a variety of challenges, including day-to-day stress, anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, parenting difficulties, chronic pain and those seeking personal development or self-discovery. This list is not exhaustive, and I am open to supporting you with whatever you may be experiencing, as long as it aligns with my areas of expertise.

Experience

I have experience working with both adults and young people, providing both in-person and online counselling. My work across various organisations and charities, including Service Six, Pegasus, and Lakeland's Hospice, has allowed me to gain broad experience in addressing a wide range of issues. These include anxiety, stress, grief and loss, relationship challenges, low mood, low self-esteem and confidence, chronic pain and other day-to-day life struggles. Trauma is often a significant part of many of my clients' stories. Empathy and understanding are central to my practice. I am dedicated to ensuring that each client’s unique needs are met, with their best interests always at the heart of the therapeutic process.

Wheelchair user access info
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

Unfortunately, my garden room is not wheelchair accessible. However, I also see private clients at a local hospice, which is wheelchair accessible. Please get in touch for availability.
