I am a mature and experienced counsellor using the Human Givens approach and specialising in anxiety and PTSD. I can help you to recognise your strengths and resources, change unhelpful patterns of behaviour, communicate clearly and calm anxiety. I work creatively with metaphor and stories, and the best scientific knowledge available. It is a practical, positive forward-focused approach, which concentrates on mastery of skills such as anger management and relaxation that people can use in the future to move on in their lives, rather than concentrating on, and being stuck in, what went wrong in the past.
I work with adults, young people and couples and I also offer Counselling Supervision.
I use comfortable private rooms at Hebden Bridge Therapy Center with disabled access.
