About me
My work is grounded in trauma-informed integrative psychotherapy. This means we explore how past experiences, particularly difficult or overwhelming ones, may continue to influence how you feel, think and respond to life today.
Therapy offers a space where these experiences can be understood and gently processed at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Alongside deeper therapeutic work, I help clients develop practical skills to regulate the nervous system, strengthen self-belief and create healthier ways of coping with stress and anxiety.
I believe that when people feel understood and supported, meaningful and lasting change becomes possible.
My Approach
My work is grounded in trauma-informed integrative psychotherapy and psycho-traumatology - the study of psychological trauma, with a focus on its research, prevention and treatment. Alongside this, I incorporate Fusion Therapeutic Wellness Life Coaching, which supports emotional regulation, lifestyle balance and long-term wellbeing.
Together, these approaches create a safe, structured and supportive environment in which we explore how past experiences, particularly unresolved or overwhelming events, continue to affect emotional and physical health. We identify unmet needs, process traumatic memories, and develop personalised strategies to restore balance, confidence and resilience.
Clients gain a practical “toolbox of mind-management skills” designed to regulate the nervous system, strengthen self-belief, and support long-term recovery. My focus is to help you understand your trauma, reduce its emotional impact, and build sustainable wellbeing.
I work with professionals, high-profile clients, and individuals living with trauma-related issues such as burnout, health anxiety, depression, panic attacks and PTSD. I have 8 years’ experience working with corporate companies, supporting employees and leaders with the unique pressures of high-demand environments. I also help clients navigate work-related stress, prevent long-term absence, and return to work following periods of emotional difficulty.
Alongside this, I have 5 years’ experience supporting cancer patients and their families through the psychological impact of diagnosis, treatment and loss.
How I Work
I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs.
These may include:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)
A well-established therapy that helps the brain process traumatic or distressing memories so they feel less overwhelming.
The Rewind Technique
A gentle and effective method often used to reduce the emotional impact of traumatic memories without needing to revisit them in detail.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
A mind–body technique that can support emotional regulation and reduce anxiety.
Therapeutic Life Coaching
Coaching approaches can help translate therapeutic insight into practical change, supporting confidence, clarity and direction in everyday life.
Working with Couples
In my work with couples, I help partners slow down and understand what may be happening beneath the surface of their conversations and conflicts. Often, men and women can process emotions, stress, and communication in different ways, which can lead to misunderstanding or feeling unheard.
By exploring these patterns with curiosity and compassion, couples can begin to see each other differently — not as opponents, but as two people trying to connect in their own ways. Through a supportive coaching and counselling approach, I help partners build empathy, communicate more clearly, and create a stronger, more understanding relationship together.
Initial Session
Our first session involves a comprehensive history-taking process. This helps me understand the nature of your trauma, the patterns surrounding it, and what you need from therapy. From there, I tailor a bespoke treatment plan that reflects your goals and your pace.
I work with clients who want to:
· Heal from past trauma
· Understand and value themselves
· Prevent or recover from burnout
· Heal their nervous system
· Rebuild meaning and purpose
· Commit to personal growth
· Live with greater freedom, confidence and happiness

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

REVIEWS
Clare was very supportive, created an incredibly open and calm environment to explore my story and how she could best help me to progress. Within a short period of time, we had explored some complex areas of my past that I had not fully understood the repercussions of. This has been incredibly helpful in understanding myself and how I can progress in future! I can't thank Clare enough for her help.
I immediately felt I could trust Clare. She was professional , down to earth, warm and kind. I saw her for 4 sessions for rewind technique in relation to a traumatic event. I felt something definitely shifted after the sessions, and have been much less troubled since. i would highly recommend her.
I couldn't reccommend Clare highly enough. I was very anxious about starting therapy and had put it off for so long, but I felt completely at ease with Clare. She never judged or rushed me, and helped me through so much in such a short space of time. Clare is incredibly knowledgeable in her field and has such a personable, approachable manner. I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done to support me.
Clare has been an excellent support. Really helped me to process things, set goals, and focus on progress. Everything was explained in a clear, concise, solution focused manner. I felt comfortable working with Clare and would recommend her to anybody seeking support.
Clare has helped me immensely in the past few weeks. She does not waste time in the sessions and I feel we have achieved a lot in a short space of time. She is very understanding and I feel my emotions/struggles are validated. I would highly recommend Clare if you have suffered with anxiety/trauma/panic attacks.
Over the last two months Clare has been very supportive and understanding. I found Clare engaging, insightful and we worked through a number of issues which have enabled me to get back on track. Even though we met online for every session it felt as though this was no barrier and I would recommend her services to anyone looking for support at a difficult time.
Really lovely to meet Clare very informative and clear, looking forward to future sessions
Clare has been fantastic. Understanding, enlightening and overall has given me some real insight in to character traits the affect me so much as an adult that I would have experienced from my childhood. A real professional and highly recommended.
Clare has had the ideal approach for me and I can't recommend her enough. I have felt very comfortable in her sessions and found them to be extremely helpful - she has a wealth of experience and knowledge.
I found the first session to be helpful. Clare understood the issues and had ideas for how to progress to make the change I wanted. I like that this will be proactive and challenging
Clare was incredibly understanding and easy to talk to, and the sessions with her over the past few months were immensely transformative and empowering. I'd highly recommend her services!
Clare has really helped me deal with a lot of past trauma. She's kind and friendly and her help has been a huge benefit to me, my mental health and wellbeing and my family. Thank you Clare!
Clare has been an amazing help to me in coping with trauma that was caused by my husband's infidelity. It was important to me to find someone who understood trauma and could help with the fallout. Clare was the first person to recognise and help with things like flashbacks and nightmares, which has been a huge help to me and improved my wellbeing enormously. I have recommended Clare to multiple friends already.
Clare has been my therapist for around 6 months; she is very knowledgeable, professional, empathetic and helpful. She has helped me work through, process and cope with relationship conflict, PTSD, work-related struggles, and self-esteem issues, among others. I really enjoyed Clare's way of bringing in explanations of how the brain processes life's issues and why that manifests itself in a certain way psychologically. Additionally, I liked the approach of getting down to main root of some thoughts or emotions that can be rooted in not just the most recent event, but in earlier childhood events. Lastly, I've always felt like she provides me with a safe, open-minded space, where I can speak to her about anything that comes up.
Cannot recommend Clare enough. So knowledgeable, warm and I was put at ease straight away. My head was in such a mess before I started with Clare and within a few months she has given me the tools and techniques to deal with things better and to understand myself more and get control back over my life and emotions. I leave every session feeling really optimistic about the future. Highly recommend
Clare really helped me through a very difficult time. I felt completely lost before I had sessions with her and I can't say how thankful I am for her wonderful help. She is incredibly knowledgeable, warm and immediately puts you at ease. Her techniques & sessions have been great in helping me work through past traumas and pain. I highly recommend Clare.
Clare was exactly everything I was looking for in a therapist. She gave me amazing techniques which have improved my daily life and helped me processes a great deal of trauma, all within a few months. I felt completely relaxed talking to her and she went above and beyond all of my expectations. I would highly recommend Clare.
