About me

Each and every one of us needs support at different times in our life, reaching for support is not a weakness but a strength. If you are struggling to cope, feel low or depressed, or you simply need to talk to someone who can help you explore your thoughts and feelings, please email or call me to see if I could be the right therapist for you.

I am an experienced BACP Accredited Psychotherapist, Fusion Therapeutic Life Coach, EFT practitioner, EMDR and REWIND (fast trauma release) therapist, who can support you at a time when you feel overwhelmed, upset or anxious. You will receive confidential, non-judgemental time and space so you can safely relax and focus on you, your solutions and your future.

See below for fee structure.

I work with clients who:

  • Understand the need to appreciate themselves
  • Want to live a meaningful life
  • Are committed to their personal development
  • Want to be free of past trauma
  • Want to be HAPPY

My practice

I have a comfortable therapy room with parking available directly outside, Enfield Chase Station is a four minute walk, Enfield Town Station is a 10 minute walk.

Walk and Talk Therapy - Many people find therapy intimidating, would you prefer your therapy session walking around the park or along the river instead? The exercise will benefit your physical health, whilst talking, alongside exposure to natural light (lux effect) will benefit your mental health.

Did you know that natural light travels through the retina onto the brain and has an
immediate effect on Serotonin, the feel good hormone.  A 50 minute walk outdoors on an overcast day will give you approximately 7-10,000 Lux and on a sunny day, up to an amazing and uplifting 100,000 lux.

What to expect from your first session

I recognise the importance of finding a counsellor that you feel comfortable with. Therefore, if required I am able to offer a no obligation initial 15 minute consultation at no charge.

Important Information

I have full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance, I also have regular supervision. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Code of Ethics for good practice.

Training, qualifications & experience

My qualifications to practice are as follows:

  • BA Hons in Counselling (First class)
  • BACP accredited Diploma in Person Centred Counselling
  • Individual BACP Accreditation
  • Advanced Post graduate Diploma in Person Centred Counselling for couples
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic coaching - NCFE
  • International Association for Rewind Trauma therapy - qualified to practice the Rewind Technique
  • MBRMM (Mindfulness based mind management) -  Master Trainer
  • EFT Practitioner Cert
  • EMDR Level 2

I completed my BA Hons in Counselling at CONEL which is one of the leading training institutions in the UK. CONEL has a reputation for clinical and academic excellence and is part of Middlesex University.  It is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

Following on from this, my desire to enable clients to live better more fulfilling lives, led me to train as a Fusion Life Coach. I also completed training in EFT, REWIND and EMDR which has enabled me to develop a practice, incorporating a blend of the most effective counselling skills, advanced coaching and a little dose of common sense!  Putting you back in the drivers seat of your life.

The Rewind Technique is for clients with PTSD, flashbacks, anxiety and unwanted involuntary thoughts.

The Rewind Technique has become internationally recognised as indispensable to treat PTSD (www.iartt.com). It usually requires no more than two sessions to bring about closure for single traumas. The results are enduring - a follow up of two years showed no relapses in that period of time, it has an over 90% success rate.

I have experience of working with adults and young people within my private practice in Enfield where I offer both long and short term therapy

Previous experience consists of:

Providing one to one counselling for people whose lives who have been impacted by cancer, at the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity in North Middlesex Hospital.

School Counsellor within an independent secondary school for children with multiple special needs and behavioural problems.

Employed by the NSPCC for three years as a ChildLine counsellor, providing emotional support to young people up to the age of 18.

Volunteered for One in Four, a London based charity offering long term counselling for survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

I have worked with a variety of ages, cultures, religions and recognise that every person is individual and unique.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
