About me
Welcome, I’m Claire and I am a fully qualified and accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor offering a secure, confidential counselling service for young people and adults.
I believe therapy is about giving yourself the time and space to process at your own pace working with someone who understands you. Through counselling and psychotherapy, we can work collaboratively to make sense of your experiences and build pathways to healing and change. I also teach practical relaxation techniques to ensure you have the tools to support your work.
Additionally, I offer a wellbeing coaching course for young people who would benefit more from a directive style which promotes accountability and goal setting. Please ask for more details.
I currently offer face-to-face 1:1 sessions from my therapy room in St. Ippolyts. Each session is 60 minutes and there is no pressure to commit to a certain number of sessions though I can make recommendations if this is useful.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a level 5 Professional Diploma is Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice and a degree in Psychology. I work with adults and young people 1:1 counselling in schools and in the community.
As well as my own practice, I do sessional work for local mental health organisations in supporting young people across the community.
I am a registered member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and adhere to their code of ethics.
