About me

Look after you and your mental wellbeing. I have experience working with all age groups, from 8 years old and above. I work with individuals suffering from low mood, suicidal ideation, self harm, confidence and self-esteem issues as well as general anxiety and lack of direction in life. Particularly with young people, I have experience with school and general anxiety, exam stress and bullying, etc. I offer a friendly counselling experience, within a warm and comfortable environment. We have the opportunity to sit down with a tea/coffee, or even walk around the Priory grounds taking in nature, as we work collaboratively to help make sense of your situation and work through it together. I offer a client-led approach in which I help the client on their own individual journey of self-discovery and reaching goals.

Training, qualifications & experience

I offer a range of knowledge and experience as I currently work within an organisation primarily working with suicide and self-harm prevention, working with young people as well as adults. I am an integrative counsellor working mainly from a person-centred approach in which the client leads the session. I also offer experience working with bereavement and loss, sadness, relationship breakdown or difficulties, self-esteem and confidence issues. I also offer CBT techniques if necessary to work through issues of general anxiety disorder or depression, as I tailor my counselling approach to the needs of the client. I place emphasis on the benefits of self-care on mental wellbeing. Together, we can work to discover your interests and ways of promoting relaxation and care seamlessly into your daily routine to enhance positivity and increase mental health.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society

This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
