About me

Hello, I'm Claire, and I'm passionate about supporting people through life's challenges in a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space.

You may be looking for counselling because you're struggling with anxiety, ADHD, low self-esteem, people-pleasing, grief and bereavement, a midlife transition, or the lasting effects of a narcissistic or emotionally abusive relationship. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to face it on your own.

I know that taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting. I remember what it was like to reach out for support myself, so I understand how much courage it takes. My aim is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and accepted from our very first conversation.

Together, we'll explore whatever feels important to you, at a pace that feels right. I offer a safe, confidential space where you can make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgement. My approach is grounded in empathy and genuine curiosity, helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, recognise unhelpful patterns, and discover new ways of moving forward.

I believe that a trusting therapeutic relationship can help you reconnect with your authentic self, build self-acceptance, and create lasting positive change in both your life and your relationships. Along the way, I'll gently offer observations, insights, and different perspectives to support your growth and help you see possibilities that may have been difficult to recognise on your own.

If you're wondering whether we're the right fit, I'd love to hear from you. Please get in touch by email or text, and I'll reply as soon as I can. I also offer a free 30-minute phone or video consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and see whether working together feels right for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
