Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and my training is grounded in a person-centred approach, which is focused on helping you feel safe, heard, and understood.
I work integratively, drawing on psychodynamic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed perspectives to respond to you as a unique individual, ensuring the support you receive is tailored to your needs.
Before retraining as a counsellor, I worked as a registered midwife, supporting people during some of the most vulnerable and life-changing moments of their lives. This experience has shaped my deeply compassionate and calm approach, especially when you may feel overwhelmed or uncertain. I am here to offer steady support, no matter what you are facing.
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). You can feel confident that your well-being is my priority: I hold up-to-date safeguarding certificates for adults and children, and always work within clear ethical and professional boundaries.
I also engage in regular supervision and ongoing professional development, ensuring my work remains safe, thoughtful, and responsive to your needs. My commitment is to provide a space where you can always feel safe, respected, and supported.

Areas Of Particular Interest
Couples and Relationships
Relationships can become difficult even when two people care deeply about each other.
You may find yourselves having the same arguments repeatedly, struggling to communicate, feeling emotionally distant, or wondering how things became so difficult. Sometimes couples find themselves caught in patterns where one person pursues while the other withdraws. At other times, both partners feel unheard, criticised, misunderstood, or alone.
One of the things I find most meaningful in couples work is helping people understand not only what is happening between them, but why. When couples begin to recognise the patterns they fall into together, and how emotions, past experiences and nervous system responses influence their reactions, conflict often starts to make more sense.
Rather than remaining stuck in blame and defensiveness, couples can begin to understand what sits beneath the conflict and find new ways of communicating, reconnecting and supporting one another.
Alongside ongoing couples counselling, I also offer a Relationship Health Check. This is a one-off extended 90-min session designed to help couples take an honest, structured look at their relationship. Together, we'll explore what's working well, where you may be feeling stuck, and the patterns that might be creating distance, conflict or misunderstanding.
Many couples find it provides clarity, practical insights, and a better understanding of each other's needs. Whether you're experiencing difficulties or simply want to strengthen your relationship, a Relationship Health Check can be a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect and decide on the next steps together.
Fertility, Pregnancy Loss and Parenthood
Few experiences can feel as isolating as fertility struggles or pregnancy loss.
Many people tell me they feel as though their lives have been placed on hold while everyone around them seems to move forward. Fertility treatment, repeated disappointment, miscarriage, baby loss, difficult pregnancies, and the transition into parenthood can bring feelings of grief, anxiety, guilt, shame, anger and profound sadness.
What can make these experiences even harder is that they are often invisible. Friends, family and colleagues may not fully understand the emotional impact, leaving you feeling alone with thoughts and feelings that can be difficult to share.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a midwife for over ten years and supported women and families through pregnancy, birth, uncertainty and loss. Alongside my counselling practice, I continue supporting people navigating fertility journeys through a UK charity.
Therapy can provide a space to process grief, explore difficult emotions, make sense of changing identities, and find support during a time that can feel incredibly uncertain.
Living with Chronic Illness, Disability and Life-Changing Health Conditions
Living with a chronic health condition can affect far more than your physical health.
Illness, disability, pain, fatigue and changing abilities can impact confidence, relationships, work, independence and your sense of who you are. Many people find themselves grieving the life they once expected to have while trying to adapt to a reality they never chose.
You may feel frustrated that other people cannot see what you are dealing with day to day. You may be exhausted from constantly having to explain yourself, push through symptoms, or adjust to limitations that others take for granted.
As someone who has lived with Multiple Sclerosis for many years, I understand first-hand that chronic illness affects every part of life, not just the body. It can challenge your identity, your relationships, your future plans and your emotional wellbeing.
Therapy offers a space where you do not have to minimise what you are going through. Together, we can explore the emotional impact of illness, disability and life changes, while helping you reconnect with your strengths, values and sense of self.
