About me

I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially when you are struggling with your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where we can build a trusting therapeutic relationship, allowing you to express yourself freely. I adapt my approach to suit you as an individual, using a variety of techniques to tailor each session. Together, we can work at your pace to help you feel more like yourself again—or to discover a new sense of who you are.

I have extensive experience supporting individuals through complex and challenging circumstances, including trauma, bereavement, anxiety, depression, and addiction. My previous experience working in a crisis house, and for an Addiction Rehabilitation Service, has enabled me to develop strong skills in supporting individuals with a range of mental health disorders.

My experience in the National Health Service (NHS), a Private Practise, and as a volunteer for Cruse Bereavement has given me the opportunity to engage with people from many backgrounds and regions, thereby providing me with invaluable perspectives and knowledge. This opportunity has enabled me to gain practical experience in collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds who are in need of assistance for a variety of reasons.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to its Codes of Ethics and Practice. In accordance with the recommendations of the BACP, I receive professional clinical supervision every month. My skills as a professional are upheld by consistent participation in training sessions and personal development activities. I also have an enhanced DBS that is renewed annually.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
