Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
Self-Worth & Inner Security: Stop the cycle of striving and harsh self-judgment. Tap into your innate value, cultivating a deep, unshakable confidence that originates from within.
Anxiety & Panic: Shift from reaction to resilience. Learn to calm your nervous system with practical, body-cantered tools and liberate yourself from the grip of fear and endless rumination.
Emotional Regulation: Beyond just 'management,' we address the emotional toll of executive function challenges, releasing overwhelm and embracing a more integrated sense of self and identity.
Feeling Disconnected or Directionless with self: When you sense a deeper misalignment, even without a crisis, we work to uncover your inner compass, helping you rediscover clarity and step back onto your authentic life path.
Healing Past Echoes: Connect tenderly with the younger parts of yourself (your inner child) to process old wounds and build a profound, sustainable sense of inner safety and belonging.
Relationship Dynamics: Break free from inherited patterns—be it people-pleasing, emotional distance, or frustrating cycles. Cultivate balanced, authentic connections that honour your needs.
Depression & Exhaustion (Burnout): This isn't just about 'bouncing back.' We focus on restoring your vital energy, reigniting your true essence, and reconnecting you with your innate capacity for joy and most of all, purpose.
Rejection sensitivity dysphoria: Our work focuses on helping your system slow down, ground in the present, and develop the capacity to feel intense emotional pain without it destroying your self-worth.
Attachment styles: We examine the link between your early relational history and your current relationship patterns. By using the safety of our therapeutic relationship as a "secure base," we work to heal attachment wounds and integrate more secure ways of relating.
Limerence: We explore Limerence as an attachment alarm. The goal is to gently interrupt the obsessive thought patterns and retrain your body to source security internally, not through the Limerent Object's unpredictable attention.
