About me

Hello, I'm Chris. If you've found yourself here, chances are you're worried, anxious, or overwhelmed. You may have been carrying something for a long time, or perhaps something in your life has changed, and you're looking for support. You may be looking for someone to talk to who isn't a friend or family.

My therapy room in Clapham Common, SW4 (opposite the tube) is a friendly, safe, and non-judgmental space. I want to hear your story. Everyone is warmly welcomed.

I work at your pace. Together we’ll make sense of what’s happening in your life. We’ll explore both your current difficulties and the experiences that may have shaped them. My aim isn’t simply to reduce symptoms but to help you understand yourself more deeply and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, loss, questions about identity or simply feel stuck, therapy can offer a space to think, feel and make sense of things.

Reaching out can be hard to do. If you decide we might be a good fit, let's have an initial chat together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

I am in my forties and left a corporate job in the City to retrain as a psychotherapist. I understand the stresses and strains of today’s busy lifestyles. Constantly feeling under pressure can result in loneliness and feeling disconnected from yourself and others. Having experienced the benefits of therapy in my own life, I wanted to train to become a fully qualified therapist. I studied for four years for a Master's degree at Regent's University.

My approach is an ‘integrative’ one, meaning that I draw on different psychotherapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs. For me, therapy is not about being judged or analysed. It is about creating a space where you can think, feel, and make sense of your experience with another person.
