About me
My approach is rooted in warmth, empathy and compassion. Whether you are wanting a space to voice challenges in the 'here and now', consider how your past may be impacting your present, or desire more of a targeted focus on making change in a specific area, we can explore your needs together and ensure you always feel that we are working in a way, and at a pace, that is right for you. Creating a safe therapeutic environment where you feel able to connect to your emotions, be fully heard, and feel empowered is my absolute priority.
I am aware that the process of finding the right therapist for you can be a challenging one so I am very happy to offer a free introductory call to discuss your needs and so you can get a feel for whether I might be a good fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy incorporating the person-centred, attachment theory, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approaches which means I can adapt to suit your needs, and that we can also adjust our style of working as the therapy evolves if that feels helpful.
I currently work within the NHS Talking Therapies service offering counselling primarily for depression, anxiety and bereavement. However, I also have experience working with national charities such as Mind, Place2Be and those supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Having experience in supporting clients in both short, medium, and long term therapy we can establish an initial timeline that suits you if that is also something you are interested in.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, my research led me to particular expertise in working with those who identify as women in the questioning and exploration of their sexuality, and those who identify as both women and bisexual or pansexual. I also have experience of working with the wider LGBTQ+ community and employ an affirmative approach whether you are looking to explore issues related to your gender identity or sexuality, or are simply looking for support from a therapist from within the community.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
