About me

I am experienced and fully qualified in Psychotherapy & Counselling.  I am an Imago relationship specialist and have extensive experience supporting couples to build secure relationships which is a real privilege for me.

I only work via Zoom. This allows remote access to the same professional care and guidance. I deliver quality services, maintaining privacy and security. This enables you as a  couple to be in the comfort of your environment without the worry of the journey.

Your well-being is my priority and I uphold my effectiveness and confidentiality of traditional in-person sessions.

IMAGO RELATIONSHIP THERAPY

I have a passion for working with couples and I use Imago Relationship Therapy. Imago is a theory of relating where you as a couple can build trust, safety and  connection. These conditions are  paramount to this approach. Using a way of communication which is very structured to enable you as a couple to discuss the most difficult aspects of your relationship by learning ways that you can approach difficult conversations as well as sharing positive connection. As a couple  this enables you to take this way of communicating outside the session. Encouraging a deeper connective relationship, sharing vulnerabilities, passion, creativity, love and safety.

I am both privileged and humbled to be a Therapist, I bring my own limitations and will own them honestly within my work. I will stay in your process and show compassion for your individual circumstances. I understand everyone has their own personal story and journey in their life and I have a healthy interest and curiosity in your life path. I will witness your self-reflection whilst you navigate what you may do differently and uncover and apply new directions.

I Have an inclusive approach, listening and acknowledging your personal story and how these impact on the relationship, sometimes causing ruptures, disconnection and arguments. Providing the structure to have safe conversations that will encourage you to understand and account for differences which will support you remaining connected in your relationship.

I support singles navigating difficulties within their life/relationships.

I am Person Centred, Transactional Analysis and Imago Relationship trained.

If you would like to book an appointment, please send me a message. Thank you.

I currently run my practice via Zoom. Prior to this, the Counselling services I have been a member of, have been in G.P Surgeries, Hospitals, Women's Refuge and Family Centres, Providing Psychotherapy and Counselling to Individuals, Couples and Groups.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and   Psychotherapy (MBACP) and adhere to their exacting guidelines and ethical framework. I am a BACP registered member on the Accredited register.

I am fully and comprehensively insured with the Psychologists Protection Society.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
