About me
Hello my name is Cherrie, I qualified as a therapeutic counsellor in 2017.
I very much enjoy working with children and young people. I am passionate about helping children to see their potential and to overcome the struggles that impact their lives on a daily basis.
Face to face, via the telephone or online sessions are what I am able to offer.
I have a person centered approach to therapy and I aim to provide a safe space for us to build a relationship based on acceptance, trust and no judgement.
Currently, I work for a charity counselling children and young people. I also work with children that are in care that have experienced trauma and abuse.
It is common for me to counsel children and young people who are struggling with low mood, anxiety, low self esteem, who self harm and isolate themselves. Also, children who are finding it hard just to be children and they need someone to talk to about how they are feeling and to get a better understanding of changes they are going through as they grow up.
