About me

Hello my name is Cherrie, I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor and I am accredited with the NSCP.

I work with adults and children (6 +).

My approach is Person Centered, I focus on the needs and preferences of my individual clients. I am a down to earth person, who can offer you the opportunity to speak freely. I use simple, relatable language. I pride myself on being approachable and non judgemental.

Life is hard at times and having someone to talk to that wont judge you can be life changing, I could be that person for you. Please feel free to get in touch.

Do you have a specific issue you would like to talk to me about or is your general mental health in need of an uplift?

I offer long term and time limited therapy, in-person, over the phone or online sessions.

Together we can develop tools and skills that will support you beyond your sessions, that can enable you to live your life as you would like.

What is it you want? I can help you to understand what is holding you back, so that you can move forward and live the life you want.

Further information

As a member I work with the ethical principles outlined in the NCPS guidelines.

I hold the welfare of my clients central to my work and honor the trust they place in me as a professional, and endeavour to carry out my work respectfully and ethically.

I believe that my clients have the right to self-determination and are to be shown dignity and respect for making their own lawful decisions.

I have monthly supervision sessions with a BACP accredited supervisor. Which helps me to provide my clients with a service that is not restricted by my own prejudices and limitations of experience.

I work to be as honest, truthful and accurate as possible. And, will only work when I know that I am safe to do so, taking into consideration my own expertise, training, health and wellbeing, and I will let my clients know if anything changes.
