About me
Hi, thank you for being here. I know it can be really hard to reach out for support. I am a committed and compassionate qualified integrative therapist, with niche specialism in Sexual Abuse, Domestic Abuse and Trauma, rooted in person-centered foundations.
If you are reading this and have experienced any of the above, you might be feeling overwhelmed, confused, stuck, or unsure of where to turn. Whatever you’re going through, you don’t have to face it alone.
I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can talk openly at your own pace. I support people who have experienced sexual abuse, domestic abuse, and trauma, and I understand how these experiences can affect how you feel about yourself and others. I have a genuine passion towards helping others navigate their own paths towards fostering resilience, emotional healing and personal growth. This is not a definitive list of areas of life I can support, so please do still contact me if you need support outside of these areas.
My approach is evidence-based and compassionate, and most importantly led by you. We’ll go at a pace that feels safe, focusing on what matters most to you. Whether you want to make sense of your experiences, find new ways to cope, or simply feel heard and understood, I’m here to walk alongside you.
If you feel ready, you’re very welcome to reach out.
How to get in touch
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and answer any questions. You can then decide whether you feel we would be a good fit to work together!
If you’d like to work together I am able to offer support for short and long-term work, please contact me via either text or email (PembertonPsychotherapy@gmail.com) and I usually respond within 48 hours (or on Monday if you message over the weekend). And do check your spam folder just in case.
I look forward to starting that journey alongside you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
