About me
Life can be challenging, and sometimes it can be difficult to hear ourselves in today’s world. We can feel lost or alone, question who we are, know we do not want to feel like this. I offer a safe, empathetic, confidential space, where you can talk about your experiences at your own pace. I will listen without judgement, with the aim of supporting you to hear yourself better.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a trauma-informed psychotherapist with experience working across sexuality, gender, race, ethnicity and neurodiversity. In addition to private practice, I work with adults in charity and further education settings. I have experience working with survivors of domestic abuse, and people with mental health diagnoses, including bipolar and DID. I have an MSc in Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy (distinction).
I work remotely via Zoom or phone, or in person in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. Sessions are weekly, lasting 50 minutes unless otherwise agreed. I offer a free 20-minute initial telephone call so we can learn more about each other.
I recognise that counselling can be a significant commitment. Some people seek a few sessions with a particular focus, others seek longer term support. The number of sessions is driven by your requirements and will be regularly reviewed to ensure your needs are being met.
I am accredited with the UKCP and a member of BACP and adhere to their codes and ethical framework. I have full professional indemnity insurance and enhanced DBS clearance.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
