About me
I'm a therapist qualified in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling (MBACP). I work in a very relational way with clients from all back grounds and with any issue they might need to bring. Each issue is unique and potentially has complicated roots. It's important to me that I can provide a safe space to be able to explore the past, present and future hopes, as well as what might be held unconsciously, through the mediums of dreams and imagery, bodily sensations and reflections. The aim is always to give the client the tools and understanding in order to live the life they want to the full.
Integrative Transpersonal Counselling is a psychotherapeutic therapy, combining modern psychology with more traditional and spiritual philosophies. We are not just body and mind, we are also spirit and soul. I work very holistically, using a number of different theories and perspectives, and whatever works best for the client.
Some of the struggles I can help individuals work through might be: Depression, feeling sad, anxiety, health anxiety, social anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, divorce, OCD, anger management, emotional overwhelm, grief/bereavement, sleep problems, disordered eating, sexual issues, identity.
I also work with couples to help them overcome communication issues and reconnect with what is important to them and their relationship. All relationships will have periods of challenge and disruption which may be caused by everyday stresses, difficult life situations, or each persons emotional history getting a little tangled up. I am here to help with the detangling.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a diploma from Re-Vision in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling which is accredited by the BACP. I am therefore a Registered Member of the BACP and adhere to their Code of Practice and ethical framework.
I have experience working with clients from different backgrounds and ages, with many different presenting issues, from depression and anxiety to eating disorders and general low self esteem.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
