About me

I am an experienced transpersonal counsellor and psychotherapist. Following a career in health care and then teaching I trained for 5 years as a psychotherapist because I enjoy seeing others grow to be their best selves, often through difficulties.  Clients have said they feel safe, respected and valued by me and that I am a gentle persistent guide.  Clients I see come for a few sessions or some longer term work. Some have found a creative approach using drawing, visualisation or dreamwork particularly helpful in addressing issues they face, but I will work in a way that works for you using a variety of approaches..

I can help if you feel depressed, anxious or feel you have  a low low self esteem or lack confidence. I work with individuals who have difficulties with family or other relationships or who have sufferred a bereavement. Some clients come with work related issues.  I have a particular interest in postnatal depression, fertility issues and working with  those with midlife issues and older adults.

I also work with therapy students in training. You may feel that you do not have a specific problem but would like to do some personal development work or explore aspects of spirituality that are relevant to you. As a transpersonal therapist I believe that body mind and spirit are all important and affect one another and difficulties in one area of your life can affect other areas.

The session belongs to you and you can stay for as few or as many sessions as you need. You are welcome to ring me for an initial conversation without any obligation. I charge £60 per session but will negotiate a reduced fee if this is difficult for you. I offer online or in person sessions.

I offer daytime and evening appointments and live close to the RBH hospital and Reading university and on major bus routes. It is a quiet location and there is ample street parking.

In addition to 5 years training in psychotherapy and counselling, I have also trained in spiritual accompaniment
