About me
Do you wish to find someone to talk to confidentially about your life or your relationship? Would you like to build your confidence and open more possibilities for yourself? Would you like an experienced and confident person to support you through your next steps?
I am a warm and friendly Psychosexual Therapist and Couples Counsellor. I specialise in helping people develop a good relationship with themselves and with others helping people to open to having a partner or helping couples re-connect with each other. I hold a supportive, confidential, client-centred non judgemental space where I intend to build a sense of safety and trust with the client/s. Once this is built I can take you on a step by step process to have what you want. I am LBTQIA friendly and work with people from many different backgrounds.
Issues I can work with:
- Learning how to have a relationship with yourself and others
- Developing good communication
- Developing your sexuality
- Becoming authentic
- Creating a purposeful life
- Sexual dysfunction
- Porn addiction
- Communication issues
- Anorgasmia
- Dyspareunia
- Vaginismus
- Rapid ejaculation
- Dealing with sexual shame
- Low or lack of sexual desire
I have been working with groups since 1993, individuals since 2005 and couples since 2012. The key to the work is the relationship that is developed in the room. The confident skills that are developed from this then deepen the connections you have in life. We look at the negative belief patterns and blocks you may be holding and see how they can be released. I include the mind, body, emotions and brain as we work through the issues and see what areas in your life could be developed.
Couple Work
I have trained in a couple counselling method called Bridging which was developed by Hedy Schleiffer from Harville Hendrix work. In this method I help couples clear up any problems from the past and create an intimate way of connecting that improves their communication and their sensual and sexual lives. I am also trained in IFIO from Internal Family Systems which helps couples to recognise their different parts in their cycles, Relational Life Training from Terry Real which names imbalances or patterns that may be emerging and Emotionally Focussed Therapy which names and seeks to heal attachment styles.
