About me
Everyone faces difficult situations and painful experiences. As a person-centred counsellor, I offer you the space and time to explore whatever feels important, in a non-judgemental and safe setting. I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow, change, and heal, given the right conditions. Through counselling, I hope to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered. It's important to me to offer authentic warmth and care to clients and listen with empathy and understanding. Together we can explore ideas and options, helping you to imagine a new way forward.
My counselling room is comfortable and relaxing, with the chance to have a hot drink while we meet. It is also wheelchair accessible, and there is access to a toilet.
Training, qualifications & experience
I'm a registered member of BACP, having qualified with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2021. I have been seeing clients since the beginning of 2020. I am currently also competing my masters training, in the later stages of a UKCP accredited MSc in Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy.
I work with individuals 18+.
I have particular experience with trauma, especially sexual abuse and domestic abuse; as well as working with neurodivergence, especially autistic clients.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I work in a person-centred way, working to understand what is bringing you to counselling and what your hopes and goals are. I am trauma-informed, meaning I can understand the ways in which trauma of all different types can affect you. I also practice in accordance with my values, working in an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, neurodiversity-affirming, and body-positive way.
