About me
Hello, I'm Caroline
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. Reaching out for support often happens when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or difficult to navigate. Whatever has brought you here, I aim to offer a warm and supportive space where you can take a breath, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what is happening for you.
I am an Integrative Counsellor, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to ensure that our work together is tailored to your individual needs. I believe that no two people are the same, and therapy should reflect that.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I work relationally, recognising that trust, safety, and connection provide the foundation for meaningful therapeutic work. My aim is to offer a compassionate, non-judgemental environment where you can speak openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we can explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and help you move towards the changes you wish to make.
I am not here to tell you what to do. Rather, I will support you in finding your own way forward at a pace that feels right for you. Counselling offers a space to pause, reflect, and better understand what may be happening beneath the surface. My role is to walk alongside you as we explore your experiences and work towards what feels meaningful and authentic to you.
Throughout my working life, I have been privileged to support people during some of their most challenging times. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years working as a Registered General Nurse within the NHS. This experience gave me a deep appreciation of the connection between physical and emotional wellbeing, as well as the impact that illness, uncertainty, caring responsibilities, and life-changing circumstances can have on individuals and families.
My background in healthcare has shaped the therapist I am today. It has taught me the importance of listening, compassion, patience, and seeing the person behind the difficulties they may be facing. I understand how challenging it can be to navigate healthcare systems, cope with changes in health, or adjust to circumstances that are beyond our control.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold the BACP Certificate of Proficiency. I am committed to working within the BACP Ethical Framework, providing a safe, professional, and confidential environment for all clients.
I offer both short-term and long-term counselling.
Whatever has brought you to counselling, I invite you to get in touch for an initial conversation about how we might work together.

I have extensive experience in supporting people through bereavement and different forms of loss. Loss can take many forms, including the death of a loved one, changes in health, relationships, identity, or hopes for the future. I offer a safe and supportive space to explore these experiences and the emotions that accompany them.
A significant part of my work involves supporting people living with long-term health conditions, alongside carers who may be feeling emotionally and physically exhausted. You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, overwhelm, relationship difficulties, or struggling to cope with significant life changes. Whatever your circumstances, we can explore them together in a way that feels manageable and supportive.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
