About me

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and a Member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS).

I completed my degree in Psychology BSc (Hons) and a PG Diploma in Counselling Psychotherapy. I trained with the NHS as an Integrative Counsellor

I offer a complimentary, brief assessment via phone or message.

I offer low-cost counselling and psychotherapy,

Available face-to-face and/or remote sessions (hybrid).

Teams, Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp, FaceTime, messaging, or phone calls. We can book sessions as often as you would prefer, weekly, monthly or when you feel you need a session.

As an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I draw on four core therapeutic approaches commonly used in the NHS. This means therapy is tailored to you and what you need at this point in your life, rather than following a fixed model.

Therapy is a collaborative process where you are supported to explore your thoughts,  feelings, and experiences and find a way forward that feels right for you. I offer you practical tools and strategies to continue between sessions and beyond.

Experience:

I work daily with people who have ADHD and Autism alongside Mental health,

I spent two years as a volunteer Counsellor with school children.

Experience with clients who experience Anxiety, including generalised anxiety, social anxiety and panic attacks.

Low mood, depression. Difficulties with self-esteem, self-worth and self-confidence.

Self-harm, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Bipolar.

Alongside my Private practice, I am a Specialist Mentor supporting young people with mental health problems throughout their education.

My Therapy space is designed to feel safe, calm, and welcoming. I have 2 dogs and 4 cats who may join the sessions if you're comfortable with this. Many clients find their presence grounding and calming.

I look forward to speaking with you,

Caz.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
