About me
Feeling Stuck, Overwhelmed, or Facing a Difficult Time?
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing, or like you're carrying more than you can manage alone. You may be struggling with anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, neurodiversity-related challenges, or a significant life change. Perhaps you're adjusting to a new stage of life, coping with loss, feeling overwhelmed by work or family pressures, or sensing that something doesn't feel quite right, even if it's difficult to put into words.
Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to face it on your own.
I offer a warm, supportive, and welcoming space where you can talk openly and feel heard without judgement. Together, at a pace that feels right for you, we can explore what's happening in your life, gain greater understanding of your experiences, and gently consider what you want for yourself and your future.
I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, depending on your needs and circumstances.
Sessions are available throughout the week and can take place either face-to-face in a quiet, private garden room or online via teams or telephone.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked as a counsellor in a variety of settings, supporting adults through a wide range of emotional and personal challenges, including anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, life transitions, and the challenges associated with neurodivergence.
My core training is in the Person-Centred approach, which is founded on the belief that each person has the capacity for growth, healing, and change when provided with the right conditions. My role is not to tell you what to do or offer quick solutions, but to work alongside you in a way that helps you gain insight, develop self-awareness, and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Over time, I have also gained experience in other counselling approaches, allowing me to work flexibly and adapt our work together to your individual needs. Above all, I aim to offer a safe, accepting, and supportive relationship where you can explore whatever is important to you.
I work with a wide range of issues, including:
• Anxiety and stress
• Low self-esteem and confidence
• Relationship difficulties
• Bereavement and loss
• Life transitions and change
• Depression and low mood
• Autism, ADHD and the challenges associated with neurodivergence
• Women's wellbeing
• Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or lacking direction
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
