About me

I am Caroline Lane, founder of Lanes Counselling. My practice offers couples, individual and adolescent support through a small team of highly qualified counsellors with many years of experience.  Each counsellor has developed their own areas of expertise so, according to your particular needs, we can match you to the counsellor best suited to help you find a way to overcome the issues you’re facing.

We’ve successfully assisted many people in overcoming difficulties such as depression, anger management, relationship and/or family issues, bereavement, addiction, domestic violence, anxiety disorders, adult survivors of sexual abuse and anxiety.

We offer a private and confidential place to discuss your concerns in a supportive, understanding and non-judgemental environment. As we are not personally involved, we can be objective without passing judgement or criticism. Our role is to assist you in gaining insight, awareness and understanding of your difficulties. From this point, we can then look at various coping techniques and discuss what changes you can make to improve your life and sense of well-being.

Our counselling rooms are discreet and provide a calm haven to discuss your concerns.

Please visit my website at lanescounselling.co.uk for further information. Alternatively, please call me to discuss any queries you may have.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
