About me

I offer a calm, steady counselling space for children, young people and adults who want to feel more grounded, understood and supported. My way of working is gentle, flexible and shaped around you. I draw from different approaches depending on what you need in the moment, but the core of my work is warmth, curiosity and building trust.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 18 years working in education in safeguarding, pastoral care and behaviour support. This means I understand the pressures that young people and adults face, and I know how important it is to have somewhere you can slow down, breathe and talk honestly without judgement.

I aim to provide a space where you can explore whatever feels heavy or confusing — anxiety, depression, loneliness,  low confidence, school or work stress, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, or wanting to understand more about neurodiversity such as ADHD or Autism. You might feel stuck, overwhelmed, or simply unsure where to begin. You might just want someone to talk things through or not really know where you want the conversation to start but know you’re looking for support. That’s totally ok. That’s what the counselling space is for — exploring what’s going on for you in that moment.

I work at your pace. Some people want to explore deeply, others want gentle guidance and support, and some just need a safe place to talk each week. My role is to help you reconnect with yourself, make sense of what’s going on, and slowly build clarity and resilience so life feels a little lighter and more manageable.

I have extensive experience supporting Young Carers, families affected by dementia, and individuals navigating neurodiversity and emotional regulation. My approach is always trauma‑informed, steady and respectful of your lived experience.

If you’re looking for a counselling space that feels calm, human and grounded — somewhere you can be yourself without pressure — I’d be happy to support you.

Further information

I work pluralistically, meaning I adapt therapy to suit you rather than expecting you to fit a single model. Sessions may include reflective conversation, grounding techniques, CBT tools and creative approaches, always guided by what feels right for you.

My style is gentle, steady and collaborative. I won’t rush you or push you into anything before you’re ready. Instead, I offer a calm, consistent presence where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely.

I have a particular interest in supporting:

  • Young people navigating school pressures, identity, friendships and emotional overwhelm
  • Adults experiencing anxiety, burnout, self‑doubt or life transitions
  • Clients who appreciate a warm, non‑judgemental space with clear boundaries and structure
