About me

Sometimes it's hard to know where to start, or even quite how to describe what's been weighing on you. That's completely normal — and it's exactly where counselling begins.

I'm Caroline, an integrative counsellor based in Horsham, working in person and online across the UK. Integrative means I don't apply a fixed method to every person — I draw on a range of approaches and adapt how I work to suit you, your pace, and what you actually need. As things shift and change during our work together, my approach shifts with you.

What matters most to me is that you feel safe, heard, and genuinely un-judged. The relationship between a client and counsellor is at the heart of the process — it's not just a backdrop to the work, it is the work. I bring active listening, warmth, and complete confidentiality to every session.

I see clients in a comfortable, private consulting room in Horsham town centre, convenient for parking and public transport. Online and telephone sessions are available for clients anywhere in the UK. Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £50. Concessionary rates are available — please do ask if cost is a concern.

I'm a registered member of both BACP and NCPS, both of which are accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. I currently have availability for new clients.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
