Carol Millington MBABCP MBACP (accred)
I have been delivering Psychological therapy for 20 years predominantly within the NHS and have been working as a High Intensity therapist in IAPT since 2009.
I am qualified in various models of therapy so treat most presentations.
I practice Cognitive Behavioural Therapy treating all of the anxiety disorders and depression.
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) for trauma, mild or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. This therapy is incredibly effective for veterans of war, victims of violence, road traffic accidents, victims or crime, bullying or any minor trauma.
I also practice Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy when the difficulty seems to be concerning around our relationships and how we respond to others.
I am trained in Solution Focus Brief Therapy and Mindfulness.
I am a Psychodynamic Counsellor which was my original core training.
My private practice is situated at the end of a lane in a very rural and secluded location which is both therapeutic in itself and confidential.
