About me

We can become so used to pushing through, putting others first or simply getting on with things that we lose touch with what we actually need.

You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck in familiar patterns. Perhaps you're struggling with relationships, going through a difficult time or finding it hard to understand why you feel the way you do. Sometimes, there isn't one particular thing that's brought you to therapy, just a feeling that something doesn't quite feel right.

I'm an integrative relational counsellor, and I offer a space where we can slow things down, explore what's going on beneath the surface and begin to make sense of your experiences.

My approach is warm, collaborative and curious. I'm interested not only in what's happening for you now, but also in how earlier relationships and experiences might have shaped the way you see yourself, relate to others and navigate the world.

I also work with an awareness of the connection between mind and body, recognising that our experiences aren't always expressed through words alone.

I don't believe there's a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. We'll work together, at your pace, exploring whatever feels important to you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an MSc level 7 in Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Greenwich and am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I've worked with adults in both university and charity settings, offering short-term and longer-term counselling. During this time, I've worked with people navigating anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, illness, loss and significant life changes, as well as stress, burnout and difficulties with self-esteem.

My training is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches rather than working in one fixed way. I'm particularly interested in how our earlier relationships and experiences can shape the way we feel about ourselves and connect with others.

I'm also a trained yoga teacher, which has influenced my interest in the connection between mind and body, and how our experiences aren't always expressed through words alone.

Ongoing learning, professional development, regular clinical supervision and my own personal therapy are all important parts of my practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call, giving us a chance to have a chat about what brings you to counselling, ask any questions you might have and see whether working together feels right.

Sessions are £65 for both online counselling and in-person appointments in Belvedere/Abbey Wood, with each session lasting 50 minutes.

I offer short-term and longer-term counselling, depending on what you're looking for and what feels right for you.

If you're thinking about starting counselling but aren't quite sure where to begin, you're welcome to get in touch.

Further information

I know that finding the right therapist can feel like a big decision, particularly if counselling is something you haven't tried before.

There's no expectation to know exactly what you want to talk about or where to begin. We can take time to explore what's brought you here and what you might be hoping to get from counselling.

I work with adults aged 18 and over, offering both online and in-person sessions. Whether you're looking for support with something happening in your life right now or wanting to explore patterns and experiences that go further back, we can work together at a pace that feels manageable for you.
