About me

I am one half of the team at Different Therapy; named because we are different - distinct, individual, diverse - and that is to be celebrated, as are the differences in every client. Difference is welcome here. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.

My passion for counselling stems from a time when I benefited from the support of a wonderful counsellor as I struggled to make sense of situations in my personal life.

We are all deserving of kindness, compassion and acceptance. I will offer you a safe place to share your story. I will listen with empathy; never judging you.  We all have a story unique to us, which is why your counselling journey will be unique to you.

I will use a range of therapeutic approaches to work collaboratively with you in a way that is most suited to your needs.

I understand how difficult it can be to take those first steps towards counselling. I will join you where you are now. I will listen, and with the warmth and compassion I offer, you will know you are truly heard while you explore whatever is troubling you.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
