About me

I am a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor based in Bath, working with adults in individual therapy, offering both in-person and online therapy.  Anxiety, depression,  low self-confidence or self-esteem and feeling sad are some of the areas I can help with, but you may just feel stuck or overwhelmed by feelings or experiences in your life.  You may have been struggling or have felt something is wrong, but aren't able to make sense of it.  Whatever is your concern,  I can provide a warm and empathic environment in which you can talk about how you feel and be heard.  I will listen on a deep level and think with you, helping you with understanding what has been happening for you, and work towards finding a way out of your present difficulties.

I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where you can openly explore thoughts, feelings and emotions.  As a psychodynamic counsellor I focus on you as an individual.  You may be feeling anxious or stressed, low, sad or depressed, and be looking for support in being able to express the impact this has on your sense of well-being.  Life can bring many emotional challenges and negotiating change and uncertainty can be difficult and distressing.  In the supportive and reliable space available for you we can work together to discover the particular difficulties you have experienced.

We can think together and realise the impact of early experiences and relationships that are unconsciously carried through life, and which may form patterns or be interlinked with present experiences and emotions.  From within the therapeutic relationship, these unconscious patterns can be noticed, thought about and understood, helping you to become more self-aware and able to find inner resources to cope and move forward in your life.

I work in a comfortable, calm room where you will have the space and time to talk, and be listened to on a deep level.  Sessions, either in-person or online, are once-weekly and last for 50 minutes.

Please contact me by email or phone if you would like to arrange an initial meeting where we can discuss what help and support you are looking for.  The initial meeting will be for 75 minutes.  Once counselling sessions are agreed between us,  sessions will be arranged on a once-weekly basis at the same time and on the same day.
