About me

Does your mind feel like it never slows down? You might overanalyse conversations, lie awake running through every possible outcome, or feel permanently on edge. Maybe you’ve learned to mask, push through, or appear “fine” while feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or quietly unsure of yourself. Anxiety, ADHD, and autism—diagnosed or not—can shape how you experience the world in ways that are often misunderstood. It can feel lonely carrying that on your own.

I’m Caitriona, a therapist who works with people who think deeply, feel intensely, and often feel out of step with the world around them. I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where you don’t need to explain yourself or pretend to be okay. This is a place to pause, reflect, and begin making sense of what’s been weighing on you.

You don’t need a diagnosis to belong here. Whether you’re exploring neurodivergence, managing anxiety, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, we’ll work at a pace that suits you. Together, we’ll make sense of your thoughts, reduce mental overload, and develop practical tools that fit how your mind works—not how it’s “supposed” to work.

Our sessions focus on helping you feel more grounded, more confident, and more connected to yourself. We’ll build on your strengths, gently challenge patterns that no longer serve you, and support you in creating a life that feels steadier and more manageable.

Taking the first step can feel daunting. That’s understandable. When you’re ready, I’ll meet you where you are and walk alongside you with care, clarity, and compassion.

What happens next?

I offer a free 15-20 minute call for us to have an informal chat to discuss what's going on for you and establish if working together feels like a good fit.

If you get in touch via email, I will give you a call within 48 hours of receipt.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
