About me

Anxiety and OCD can shrink your world. I can help you take it back.

If your mind feels relentless…
If you’re trapped in “what if?” spirals…
If you feel driven to check, analyse, confess, research, or mentally review until it finally feels “just right”…
If intrusive thoughts make you question who you are…

You are not broken. And you are not alone.

Hi, I'm Bridget and I specialise in treating OCD and anxiety disorders using evidence-based CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) - the gold-standard treatment for OCD.

OCD doesn’t always look the way people expect. It can show up as:

  • Fear of harming someone (even though you never would)
  • Intrusive sexual thoughts that feel disturbing or shameful
  • Relationship doubts that won’t settle
  • Health anxiety and constant body checking
  • Religious or moral obsessions (scrupulosity)
  • Contamination fears and washing rituals
  • Mental compulsions like replaying conversations, analysing memories, or seeking reassurance
  • A constant need for certainty

Many of my clients arrive feeling frightened by their own thoughts. Some are scared to say them out loud. Others are exhausted from trying to “solve” them logically.

OCD and anxiety thrive on doubt, reassurance-seeking, and avoidance. Therapy isn’t about getting rid of thoughts — it’s about changing your relationship with them so they lose their power.

Together we will:

  1. Map your anxiety or OCD cycle in detail
  2. Identify compulsions and safety behaviours (including subtle mental ones)
  3. Gradually face fears in a structured, supported way
  4. Reduce reassurance-seeking and over-analysis
  5. Build tolerance for uncertainty
  6. Strengthen your self-esteem and self-trust

This work is active and transformative. It requires courage - but it works.

CBT provides clear, structured tools tailored to your specific presentation of anxiety. I also integrate Compassion Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help reduce shame and build a kinder, more resilient internal voice.

Many people come to me after years of struggling quietly. Some have been told to “just relax” or “stop worrying.” That doesn’t work — because anxiety and OCD aren’t character flaws. They are maintainable cycles. And cycles can be broken.

I also speak from experience when I say that learning to put anxious thoughts down - rather than wrestle with them - can be life changing. My passion is helping you build a life directed by your values, not by fear.

Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and focused. You will feel understood - and you will also be gently challenged when it matters.

Recent client feedback:

"I have left my sessions feeling empowered and confident that I have everything I need to tackle my OCD and challenging situations that may arise in future."

"I have completely transformed as a person. I am no longer worried about the little things as I have tools to handle them."

If you recognise yourself in any of this - especially if you’re tired of living inside your own head - I invite you to book a free 15-minute introductory call.

You don’t have to stay trapped in anxiety. Real, lasting change is possible.
