About me
I help clients to reach a deeper understanding of themselves, make desired changes and move forward. Therapy is a meaning making experience and it is my aim to provide you with a respectful and safe space to explore what matters to you. I’m a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and my approach is direct and supportive.
I’m here to gently challenge and guide you on your path to realisations and clarity. Sharing parts of ourselves can feel vulnerable so it’s important that you choose someone you feel comfortable talking to as the quality of the relationship between client and counsellor is key to good therapy.
My areas of experience include Anxiety, work stress, relationship issues, loss, low self esteem and supporting adult children of narcissistic parents.
I work both longer term and short term with clients.
We are currently living through collectively stressful times which may bring new challenges and add pressure and stress to your problems that already exist. You may be looking at counselling because you are struggling with anxiety and aspects of life and relationships feel less manageable. Perhaps you are feeling stuck and depressed about where your life is or is going and want to work through that with a professional. You could have been through a life altering event such as a bereavement or the breakdown of a marriage. Change being inevitable doesn't make it any easier to bear, which is why you might want someone who understands that to offer support.
If you would like to find out more about having therapy with me, please get in touch via email with a brief outline of why you are seeking counselling at this time. Then we can have an initial free 15 minute consultation by phone. This is a really good way for me to better understand what you need. It's also a good opportunity for you to get a sense of me and ask any questions you might have.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
