Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor MPhil MBACP

About me

You might find yourself overthinking, suffering with stress and anxiety, shutting down emotionally or repeating the same difficulties in relationships or work. This can be exhausting and leave you feeling frustrated, disconnected or unsure of how to move forward.

I offer integrative counselling with a person-centred focus that is informed by several approaches to best suit your needs. I help you find confidence in being yourself, develop greater self-awareness, let go of old habits and patterns, and heal from difficult past experiences. I help adults understand what’s driving these patterns and develop a calmer, more grounded and confident way of living.

“I’m so grateful for the support I received from Benny. He made me feel at ease straight away and I felt truly listened to. His kindness and understanding helped me through a very difficult time.”

If you’re considering counselling, I offer a free 15-minute introductory call where we can talk through what’s going on and see if working together feels right. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.

Sessions are available online or by telephone, allowing you to access support from a place that feels safe and comfortable for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor (MBACP), drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs.

Alongside my private practice, I work as a counsellor for Wiltshire Mind. I also hold a Master’s degree in philosophy and have a background in teaching mindfulness and Eastern philosophies, which continue to inform my work.

By understanding the patterns, thoughts and emotions that shape your experience and where they originate, you can begin to relate to them differently and create lasting change in yourself.

I bring warmth, curiosity and compassion to each session. My role is not to fix you, but to support you in making sense of your experiences and finding your own way forward.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

How I can help
I work with a range of difficulties, with a particular focus on:

Anxiety, Stress & Overwhelm
Feeling constantly on edge, overthinking or unable to switch off can take a real toll. Together, we explore what’s driving this and develop ways to feel calmer, more grounded and in control.

Low Self-Esteem & Confidence
If you struggle with self-doubt, feeling “not good enough” or comparing yourself to others, therapy can help you understand where these patterns come from and build a more secure sense of self.

Trauma & Emotional Patterns
Past experiences can continue to affect how you feel and relate to others. We work gently to understand these patterns and support emotional healing over time.

Relationships & Family Issues
You may feel stuck in repeating dynamics, unsure how to communicate your needs or struggling with boundaries. Counselling can help you develop healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Depression & Low Mood
If life feels heavy, flat or disconnected, therapy offers a space to explore what’s underneath and begin reconnecting with meaning, motivation and emotional balance.

Identity & Life Direction
If you feel uncertain about who you are or where you’re going, therapy can help you gain clarity, reconnect with your values and move forward with greater confidence.
