About me
Hi, I'm Ben - a qualified psychotherapist working online across the UK, specialising in grief, addiction, relationships, and emotional overwhelm.
How Counselling Can Help
Life can feel heavy - especially when you’re doing your best to hold it all together. You might be dealing with anxiety, low self-esteem, or feeling sad and unsure why. Maybe you’ve experienced bereavement, relationship issues, or unresolved family conflict that keeps showing up in your day-to-day life.
Or perhaps it’s more subtle: a nagging sense of loneliness, low confidence, or the kind of stress that never really switches off.
Whatever brings you here, I offer a space where we can slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and work toward meaningful change - at your pace, in a way that feels human.
What to Expect from Therapy
I work relationally - meaning we’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns together, in a supportive and sometimes gently challenging space.
You won’t be met with passive nodding or quick fixes. Instead, we’ll look at how you got here, what’s not working anymore, and what needs to shift so you can feel more like yourself again.
I’m particularly experienced in working with:
- Grief and bereavement
- Addiction and recovery
- Relationship and intimacy issues
- Family dynamics and intergenerational patterns
- Low self-esteem / confidence
- Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
Couples Counselling
I also work with couples who feel stuck in cycles of miscommunication, distance, or unresolved conflict. My approach draws from Bowenian family systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and the Gottman Method, helping partners better understand their emotional patterns and rebuild trust and connection.
Whether you’re arguing too much (or not at all), feeling disconnected, or struggling to move past an event, we can work together to get to the heart of what’s going on and build something new from there.
How I Work
- Online only (secure video sessions)
- 50-minute sessions for individuals and couples
- £65 per session (individual) / £75 per session (couples)
- I offer a small number of sliding scale spaces – just ask if this would help you access therapy
I offer a free 50-minute consultation so we can see if we’re a good fit.
A Little About Me
I’ve been working as a psychotherapist for over 10 years. I hold a Master’s degree, am BACP-registered (accreditation pending), and have supported clients from a wide range of backgrounds - from the high-functioning-but-anxious to those navigating major life change or emotional burnout.
At the heart of my work is this belief:
You don’t need to be broken to want something to change.
Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you - it’s about creating space to breathe, explore, and shift the weight you’ve been carrying for too long.
Types of Clients I Work With
- Adults
- Couples
- Older adults
- Individuals navigating loss, change, or identity shifts
Further Information
In addition to grief, addiction, and relationship-focused work, I often support people dealing with:
- Trauma (past and present)
- Emotional numbness or shutdown
- Low mood and depression
- Chronic people-pleasing or perfectionism
- Sudden life transitions (career, relocation, parenthood, etc.)
Not ready to talk yet? That’s okay.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been holding things in for a long time. If you’re unsure or have questions, I offer a free 50-minute consultation - just to say hi and see how it feels.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
