About me

Hi, I’m Ben.

You don't have to be in crisis to be in therapy. Life can sometimes feel messy, heavy, and that you are carrying a lot!

You might be overthinking, feeling stuck in the same patterns, struggling in your relationships, or just not quite feeling like yourself.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start.

I offer individual and couples counselling and psychotherapy:

  • in-person (Westminster / Victoria)
  • online (via Zoom)

This is a calm and confidential space where you can talk things through, make sense of what’s going on and start to feel more like yourself again.

----------

I support people with:

  • anxiety and depression
  • work stress and burnout
  • self-esteem and low confidence
  • panic attacks
  • trauma
  • sexuality and sexual difficulties
  • relationship challenges

I have extensive experience working with both individuals and couples, including gay and bisexual men and women.

----------

Do you notice...

  • your mind doesn’t switch off
  • you're anxious, low or overwhelmed
  • you're hard on yourself or lack confidence
  • relationships feel difficult or confusing
  • work or life feels stressful and relentless
  • feeling stuck, lost or unsure what’s next

Or, it might be something harder to put into words. Either way, you don’t have to carry it on your own.

----------

What to Expect When Starting Therapy

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if it’s your first time.

You don’t need to know what to say or where to begin. That’s something we figure out together.

I offer a free 15-minute phone call so you can get a feel for how I work, ask any questions and see if it feels like a good fit.

No pressure. No commitment.

----------

How I Work

Think of therapy as a space to pause, breathe and properly check in with yourself.

I offer a calm, down-to-earth environment where you can talk openly, confidentially and without judgement.

Together, we’ll start to untangle what’s going on. As things become clearer and you begin to have a better understanding of yourself, you will develop awareness which can lead to change, healing and growth. This may be a sense of feeling calmer, more in control, lighter and happier.

I won’t use jargon or a one-size-fits-all approach. The way we work will be shaped around you, your pace, your needs and your story.

----------

Next Step

If something here resonates, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

You don’t have to wait until things get worse to talk to someone.

Sometimes just having the space to say things out loud can be the beginning of things shifting.

Contact me via the phone number or email above to arrange your Free 15 minute phone consultation and we can go from there, one step at a time.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
