About me

I'm a BACP registered integrative psychodynamic counsellor. I see clients as individuals with your own unique issues and life experiences, so draw on a wide range of humanistic, psychodynamic and CBT approaches to tailor therapy to your specific needs.

I work with couples and individuals, in person and remotely online or over the phone.

Integrative Psychotherapy with Ben

I provide a safe, reliable and confidential space where we can develop a trusting relationship to help you feel supported in therapy and free to talk about the issues affecting your life without fear of judgement.

Together we can explore the aspects of your life that are troubling you, helping you process and resolve difficult thoughts and feelings, and gain greater insight and self-awareness in order to live in a more satisfying way.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked for many years as a documentary maker across many different countries and cultures, so understand how empowering and healing it can be to have the opportunity to have your voice heard and feel truly listened to.

I’m a specialist in working with anger and anxiety, and have extensive experience working with depression, trauma, addictions, relationships & breakups, divorce, parenting, abuse, illness & injury, self-harm and grief.

I offer both open-ended and short-term therapy for adults. To arrange a free initial phone consultation, just send me an email or leave a voice message with your details.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
