About me

Hi, I'm Belinda, an integrative counsellor working in person in Southend-On-Sea, Essex, and online throughout the UK.

I enjoy counselling and love working with people, where I will give space to develop our therapeutic relationship so you feel able to share whatever is on your mind.

As an older therapist, I have experience of many life issues, and I have helped people with challenges including:

  • low mood
  • grief
  • loss
  • despair
  • relationship struggles
  • anxiety
  • fear
  • loss of direction
  • childbirth
  • raising a family
  • insecurity
  • ageing
  • menopause
  • ADHD
  • autism
  • carer responsibilities

I believe in the power of sharing your thoughts and fears, joys and uncertainties. I will support you, meeting you wherever you are in life

You can choose to have one session a week, or, if it suits you to have sessions every two weeks, I can tailor this to you. Sometimes, monthly or ad-hoc counselling can be just what you're looking for, & if this is something you'd like, the sessions will be more solution-focused & goal-oriented.

Please contact me to book a session or ask any questions here.

Sometimes we can feel as though we are at a crossroads in our life, & are unsure which way to turn. It might feel like your problems aren't 'bad enough' to seek counselling, especially when you compare them with the challenges other people seem to be experiencing.

Sometimes, though, reaching out for counselling might be just the support you are looking for, even if it appears that what you're going through is 'just ordinary, everyday stuff'. If something is bothering you, don't hesitate to reach out.

I utilise a Person-Centred, integrative approach, meaning you are at the centre of each session. I support you as you explore how you are feeling, your fears, concerns, anxieties, worries & more.

I provide in-person counselling in my calm, comfortable therapy room, where you can talk to me about whatever your concerns are. Online & phone counselling is also offered from this confidential space.

Throughout our lives, there are times when we need a little support, and reaching out for a counsellor can help with challenges you might be facing, such as anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions such as children leaving home, divorce, identity, body image concerns, lack of self-confidence, low self-esteem, loss, and many others. Together, we can work out how best to move forward through your issues, so you can live the best life possible

I integrate techniques from other schools of thought including mindfulness, breath awareness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
